End Of Life Vehicles

Under the terms of the End of Life Vehicle regulations, Maserati is responsible for the free take back and decommissioning of specified vehicles as an end of life vehicle, in the unlikely event that a Maserati may have no commercial value or a negative value.

The EU Directive 2000/53/EC concerning the take back of end of life vehicles is implemented in each European country through end of life vehicle legislation and its relevant provisions.

Since the legislation came into force on 3rd March 2005, Maserati owners have the opportunity to return their vehicle, subject to the following requirements:

-       The vehicle must have been registered after the 1st July 2002.  From the 1st  January 2007, the return of all

Maserati vehicles is free of charge, irrespective of the year of manufacture, excluding the cost of

transportation and the cancellation fee from Public Automotive Register

-       All significant components, such as the engine, gearbox, chassis, bodywork, catalytic converter, electronic

control unit are present in the vehicle

-       There is no waste in the vehicle

-       The vehicle is or was registered in a member state of the European Union for a minimum duration of one

         month

In order to facilitate the simple disposal of your end of life vehicle, Maserati has contracted a network of Authorised Treatment Facilities (ATFs) for the free return of your end of life vehicle.  The contracted ATFs are fully certified and fulfil all legal requirements, including the certificate of destruction to confirm the vehicle was properly disposed of.
