The Maserati production cycle: bodyshell

The monocoque for every Maserati is manufactured from sheet steel bi-coated in zinc to provide the highest level of anti-corrosion protection.

Maserati makes extensive use of seam welding in the construction of its bodyshells which provides significant benefits in terms of structural integrity and torsional rigidity.

Throughout the production process, the bodies go through a series of stringent checks and once finished, each body is thoroughly inspected again before being sent to the Ferrari factory at Maranello for painting.
