Biturbo i - 1986 to 1990
The Biturbo i featured Weber-Marelli fuel injection which improved the cold running, driveability, smoothness and exhaust emissions of the original, single twin-choke Weber carburetted Biturbo. The sequential multi-point injection and ignition was electronically controlled, with the engine running on constant over-boost.
Introduced in the autumn of 1986, the car differed from the carburettor version for its restyled wheels and its oval dashboard binnacle with the famous golden clock atop the centre console. It was produced until July 1986, reaching a total of 683 units.
