Tipo 26BMM

The 2.0-litre 26B MM was modified with the same road car treatment as the Tipo 26 MM. In 1929 a Weber carburettor replaced the previous Memini and the engine was good for 155 bhp. Top speed claimed at 200 km/h (124 mph).

Works cars were entered in the Mille Miglia, with the teams of Count Aymo Maggi and Ernesto Maserati dropping out in 1928 and Baconin-Borzacchini-Ernesto Maserati retiring 700 km from the start when in the lead of the 1929 race. Four cars were made; among the owners were the Duke of Spoleto as well as gentlemen drivers Diego de Sterlich and Giuseppe Furmanik.
